Situated on a hilltop just east of Laguna Beach, XK 93.5 is a non-profit, non-commercial FM station that broadcasts from sunrise to sunset every day year-round. The signal reaches from the Pacific Ocean to the Inland Empire and can be heard as far north as Los Angeles County’s Antelope Valley.

XK 93. has been broadcasting on the FM dial for over twenty years and continues to provide listeners with an alternative rock format that is geared towards Generation X.

The station’s main focus remains to provide its community with music not normally heard anywhere else; this includes artists like Tom Waits, Rufus Wainwright, Stereolab, and The Replacements as well as lesser-known groups such as Morphine or Stephen Malkmus’ Jicks.

XK 93.’s DJs have dedicated rock enthusiasts who introduce their audience to new bands on a daily basis while playing songs from popular favorites of decades past – they even give away tickets every hour throughout the day including local concerts at places like Sutra in Costa Mesa and the Slidebar in Fullerton.
