– KUVR was founded in 1934, its first broadcast taking place on October 22nd of that same year at 12:30 PM CST under its original call letters KROWR (Kansas Rural Radio). It would change its call letters to KUVR and move to 1380 AM in 1940.
– KUVR’s first station was located at the Douglas County Courthouse, but would soon be relocated three blocks south of downtown Holdrege where it has been ever since. It changed its location again on June 24th, 1963 when KUVR moved into a new building one block east of its original home, which is now used by KUBE 93 Country FM. The current KUVR studio can accommodate up to six people inside with room for two more outside who are using remote feeds from other locations.
