Indo-Caribbeans or Indian-Caribbeans are Indian people who live in the Caribbean. They are descendants of the jahaji Indian indentured workers brought by the British, the Dutch, and the French during colonial times from the mid-19th century to the early 20th century. A minority are descendants of Indians and/or other South Asians who came after the indentureship period as shopkeepers, businessmen, etc.
