Alabama Public Radio is a community of public radio stations primarily based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that serves roughly the western half of the kingdom of Alabama with classical, folk, jazz, and nostalgic song programs, in addition to neighborhood information and news and function programs from National Public Radio, Public Radio International, and American Public Media networks.

Alabama Public Radio is a mixed format of news, classical music and entertainment. Reaching nearly two-thirds of the state, APR offers the best of public radio’s national programming as well as locally produced news and music programming, supporting one of the largest radio news departments in the state.
