Waves Radio
Waves Radio” is a neighborhood radio station situated in Peterhead, North East Scotland. The station is on air 24 hours a day with live indicates from six am till 10pm (separated from “a wave of hits” from 6pm-7pm on weekdays which is computerized.
Waves Radio was conceived in 1990 after its organizer and possessor regarded as Kenny King connected to the then Radio Authority for a Rsl licence. The station in the early years was reputed to be Waves Am telecasting by method of Restricted Service Licenses from a studio at the Lido vacation spot region in Peterhead, throughout the towns yearly Scottish Week festivals.
Accompanying the achievement of the introductory telecasts the station gave back each sunny season, with the presentation of extra shows made over the Christmas periods in 1994 and 1995. The station stopped television in July 1996 and was unable to transmit over the merry period because of the affirmation of the full-time permit. In the wake of picking up a full-time permit, Waves Radio started on 6 December 1997, from its current studios at Blackhouse Circle.
