102.8 Chorley FM was conceived in 2001 established by a few nearby people who every held an enthusiasm for Radio, the Local Community, or both. Chorley FM was conceded authorization by Ofcom to finish a few short-term (RSL) telecasts preceding our full-time permit procurement in 2006.

In 2006, the media controller Ofcom conceded Chorley FM Limited a full-time Community show permit for the term of 5 years. In November 2006, Chorley FM started television on 102.8fm.
